The Bedes Lea pub in North Baddesley near Southampton has been transformed following our £160,000 investment. The new look pub also welcomes new local landlords to the helm, partners Tammy Moon and Phil Sayers.

The refurbishment has centred around creating a proper local community pub with a complete redecoration of the internal trading areas and conservatory.  Tammy, an experienced chef is launching a new menu with dishes catering for the whole family and the couple are bringing back the popular quiz and bingo nights and hope to host more sports teams alongside their pool, crib and men’s darts teams. Live local music and sports from Sky and BT Sport will feature at the pub.

Speaking about the new look, landlady Tammy said, “We are really excited about taking over at the Bedes Lea.  Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and we can’t wait to build on this great community local.  We are bringing good honest food back to the pub and want to hold lots of weekly community events”.

Managing Director for Punch, Andy Spencer said, “This is a significant investment by Punch in this established community pub and we are extremely pleased with the end result.  In matching a pub with great people like our new Publicans, Tammy and Phil, we are very confident that they will create a fantastic community pub for the area and further afield”.

The transformation at Bedes Lea is part of our £32 million plan to create epic community pubs across the country. The pub will employ 14 people both front and back of house.
