Fixed Asset Analyst

The fantastic opportunity is to support the Financial Reporting Accountant within our awesome Finance team and working closely with our internal Property team. The purpose of the role is to provide reliable financial reports, analyse data and support the wider business.

Key Accountabilities

We need someone who can:

• Own the fixtures and fittings process; from providing data to Operations of list of fixtures on site to support rent and purchase agreements, to controlling the balance sheet reconciliation and reporting on additional spending and advising of actions possible to take
• Ensure all work in progress is accounted for and projects are capitalised as they are completed
• Maintain the property disposal list and run the property disposal model as required
• Owning the quarterly abortive fees process including stakeholder meetings and booking periodic adjustments
• Support the Financial Reporting Accountant with fixed assets, depreciation and work in progress tasks as required
• Ownership of Property related balance sheet reconciliations across all companies in relation to non-capitalised projects, F&F and POI suspense accounts to Punch company standards and review of the assigned company balance sheet accounts with the Financial Reporting Accountant
• Periodically prepare and review the integrity reporting related to fixed assets to ensure the system has captured all items for capitalisation
• Prepare and distribute periodic reports to stakeholders
• Review and capitalise all current assets to fixed assets in line with the Punch company standards
• Support with any ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required

Person Specification – Technical Competencies & Professional Expertise

The ideal candidate will:

• Self-motivated, able to work on their own initiative but also to be flexible in supporting the team
• Able to plan and organise effectively in order to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organisation
• Ability to build rapport and develop key relationships
• Proactive approach to individual training, development and progression
• A competent user of Microsoft Excel and experience of working with large data sets
• GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Ideally studying towards a qualification (ACCA, CIMA) or completed AAT Level 3/accounting degree or equivalent practical experience
