Human Resources Manager (12 Month Maternity Cover)

Working within the Punch People team, this role is both operational and strategic and would benefit from someone who enjoys building relationships at all levels of the business with a can do and proactive approach to supporting the wider People team with various HR initiatives. With a Reward and Recognition lean as part of a maternity cover, the role also provides Generalist HR support to business areas within Punch making it varied and essential for you to be hands-on, whilst being keen to input into the overall Punch People Team strategy.

Accountabilities

Reward & Recognition at Punch
– To lead on the annual processes to deliver salary benchmarking, pay review and bonus schemes across Punch
– Lead the review and implementation of the Company Reward and Recognition initiatives, from supporting the design and implementation of company bonus schemes to managing/ensuring engagement with internal recognition schemes across the Punch business
– Lead in the management of company benefits e.g. Private Medical, Group Life Assurance, Buy & Sell Holidays and company perks/discount providers (including the annual renewals with the support of our brokers and review/provide recommendations of any new benefits as appropriate)
– Complete the annual group Gender Pay Gap calculations with associated internal and external reports/recommendations
– Support payroll processes and projects as and when required by the HR Admin & Payroll Specialist

Generalist HR Support
– Full ownership of aligned business areas proactively supporting them with their HR-related needs – from employee development, talent management, employee retention and change transformation initiatives
– Provide professional HR support and advice to all line managers on People issues that arise, ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to
– Coaching line managers in people management to drive both performance and behavior in line with company culture and strategy
– Actively support the People team with ER activity such as investigation meetings, disciplinary, grievance hearings, and capability meetings and ensure relevant documentation is provided and collated throughout any process
– Support HR projects as appropriate and as required by the wider HR team
– Support the wider team and aligned business areas to ensure we have the optimal structures in place to support the business strategy
– Support the broader people team with recruitment and selection processes, ensuring a smooth on-boarding experience for new hires
– Manage the full employee life-cycle, including recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, and off-boarding for aligned business areas
– Lead on the bi-annual company engagement surveys – including company communication, system administration and associated follow-up reporting
– Lead the Punch HR policies annual review process ensuring they are aligned to company culture, values and in line with employment law

• Competent user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
