Role Purpose
Working within a commercially focused, experienced, supportive and highly effective finance team, this role is a key position that combines a mixture of period-end Management Accounting and the production of key strategic insight and analysis.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and self-motivated individual to work in a highly collaborative environment with exposure to the Operations team and key functions across the business.
Accountabilities:
• Completing the Period End Process by preparing, calculating and posting periodic accrual and prepayment journals accurately in order to produce pub P&Ls to the highest quality.
• Periodic review of pub P&Ls with the Divisional Finance Business Partner, investigating any areas of concern.
• Supporting the operations team by leading on P&L reviews and structuring agreements for new Publicans.
• Periodic production of balance sheet reconciliations to Punch company standards.
• Supporting with any ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
Technical Competencies / Professional Expertise:
• Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and flexible in supporting the team with a variable workload.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Able to plan and organise time effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and develop key relationships with Finance and Non-Finance stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to individual training, development and progression.
• A competent user of Microsoft Excel and experience of working with large data sets.
• Qualified accountant/Finalist/QBE.
