Regional HR Business Partner

Key Accountabilities


We need someone who can:

  • Support the People Business Partner to drive a strategic and proactive approach to ensure colleagues across all levels of our business and guests are at the start of business discussion and decision making
  • Link development and our growth of our people with a leader led mindset
  • Be responsible for approving leader capability within your business areas, supporting them and their teams to successfully embed culture change
  • Be the custodian of our forward-thinking recognition platform bringing to life our hashtag values and demonstrating them through a continuous feedback approach
  • Share internal and external business and commercial knowledge across the wider People & Culture Team to provide greater insight and identify opportunities to continually improve
  • Own the end-to-end recruitment process from advertising to offer stage
  • Utilise L&D experience to identify, create, design & deliver training solutions that have the potential to work across development pathways for our employees
  • Be passionate about pipeline talent seek opportunities to recruitment, develop and manage apprenticeships


Pubs, people, and possibilities are at the heart of everything we do, so the ideal candidate will:

  • Be responsible for ensuring that every new starter receives a warm Punch welcome through a clear and supportive onboarding experience
  • Proactively be out in the field with your finger on the pulse and are seen as trusted advisor by the business on all people matters


To be bold and proactive, we need a team member who can:

  • Creatively work with the broader People team to enhance the Employer Value Proposition both internally and externally championing areas such as our Diversity & Inclusion plans
  • Utilise the tools available to you such as Grow Your Talent (GYT) to identify where internal promotions or development might be to drive forward thinking development pathways
  • Flood the pipeline with high potential future talent – internal & external by pro-actively identifying design org / design processes for the business; how they structure their teams, as well as highlighting any key role risks


Accuracy is key to this role, so we need a team member who can:

  • Provide People solutions through a commercial lens underpinned with strong relationships across all stakeholders
  • Coach and advise managers, providing challenge through all elements of the colleague lifecycle. Develop skills, knowledge and confidence to encourage and affect the necessary change to deliver the desired business outcomes

Person Specification – Technical Competencies & Professional Expertise

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous HR and Learning & Development experience at Management level and within either the Pub, Retail or Leisure industry (desirable, not essential)
  • Have worked in a regional/multi-site HR role (desirable, not essential)
  • Be able to develop relationships, manage and influence with key stakeholders (essential)
  • Be experienced in working in a fast paced and flexible environment (essential)
  • Be self-motivated with the ability to work as a team (essential)
  • Have sound up to date knowledge of employment legislation (essential)
