The Admiral pub needs an experienced Publican at the helm with cafe or restaurant, bar, and hotel experience. You’ll have the vision and talent to create a well-loved, vibrant and colourful pub and cafe for a new audience.

You’ll also be the quintessential host with excellent drinks knowledge, especially around cask and craft beer.   Experience in running events and live music gigs suitable for a vibrant city like Brighton would also be desirable.  Ideally, you’ll also love driving room sales as this is a good part of the business through Air BnB.

You’ll excel running weekly events with hand-picked cask ales, a cosy interior and spacious outside seating with an inviting secret garden.

The pub and location

The Admiral sits in the Hanover district of Brighton. It’s distinctive with a round and prominent frontage, close to the North Laines. You’ll attract guests from the main parts of the city of Brighton.

You’ll excel in a one-room bar operation, with a secret garden to the rear and toilets. The pub also has a two bedroom flat and a three bedroom flat, currently used as an AirBnB for groups visiting Brighton.   The rooms are well-appointed and modern.  To maximise turnover, the rooms are best utilised as AirBnB accommodation, meaning this would be a lock up site without publican accommodation, unless only one flat is utilised for AirBnb.

Now is the ideal time to take over the Admiral, as we’re planning a complete external redecoration with new signage. We’ll also update the kitchen, adding sparkling and a redecorated interior, including a new back bar. You’ll love running the new deli counter in the bar with a barista coffee machine. The ideal publican will be at home in this new style cafe/pub.
