Located in the heart of Truro, Cornwall, Bear Bar is a stylish, modern pub that is currently being rebranded as a premium beer and cocktail venue.

The interior is split into three separate trading areas, with a main bar space visible from the street and equipped with lots of high seating and poseur tables, a separate restaurant space which can cater for up to 40 covers at one time, and a conservatory which is ideal for more intimate dining or large bookings.

The pub has recently launched a new menu, consisting of great vegetarian and vegan options, as well as delicious sharing platters.

Bear Bar occupies a fantastic location just off Truro’s main shopping street in the heart of Cornwall’s only city. As such, it’s surrounded by shops as well as regional head offices for law firms and accountants.

On top of this, being Cornwall’s only city, Truro attracts tourists from all over the world and the pub is even situated next to the newly refurbished Hall for Cornwall – a theatre venue which plays host West End musicals, opera, ballet and other performances.

About the Agreement

Our Tenancy agreements vary between 3 – 5 years offer a flexible approach to running your own pub business. Your pub will be ready to trade, with carefully tailored food and drinks menus in place which you can evolve as you go along.

You will receive a high level of support and everything you need to run a successful business. From the beginning, you will have dedicated Punch Development Manager, plus access to training and development, business planning, operations and accounting expertise.

Once you’ve completed the 5-day induction course we’ll provide you with ongoing support to help you maximise the efficiency, sales and profitability of your pub. This includes helping you decide on the right drinks offer, guidance on margin and support creating a marketing plan to build for continued success. To help market your pub, we also offer lots of support and advice.

Punch Tenancy agreements have shared repairs liability, we will help you manage your ongoing repairing obligations. We do this by operating a repairs and maintenance fund for all new agreements.

* The calculation of the initial Ingoing Costs assumes a minimum deposit (£3,000 or £6,000) plus legal fees. The subsequent deposit build up (if any) will need to be paid over 52 weeks. This can be discussed with the recruitment team or Punch Development Manager
