The Cricketers Arms has two levels. It is an imposing Victorian local retaining many original features, including an impressive bar, etched glass, and cast-iron pillars.

This pub has a surprising history. World Champion boxer Freddie Mills once trained in vaulted upper-section of the pub when it was a gym.

If you love entertaining, this is the pub for you. Guests enjoy live music with folk and jazz bands taking the stage. Plus, there is a quiz night on Tuesdays. Plus, pool and darts games give this pub an excellent vibe.

In short, the Cricketers Arms is the place to be. Whether it is a chat with friends, putting the world to rights or watching a live sporting event, families love this pub all day. It is the quintessential Locals’ Local with picnic sets out front.

Refurbishment

You’ll benefit from a brand new commercial kitchen. We’ll also be extending the external drinking area to increase covers and hold live sports events.

We’ll also be making the drinks range a premium offer to entice new guests. The menu will also get a revamp with pub classics, pizzas and delicious dirty burgers.

The site has a Living room, 3 bedrooms and a bathroom – no domestic kitchen.

Ideal operator

We’re looking for a Publican who will be the heart and soul of their local community. Could this be you? You’ll make this pub the place to be holding special events along with a strong rhythm of the week. You’ll create enticing food and drink offers and comedy and themed nights to maximise footfall from the locals but encourage new guests.

The location  

This pub is ideally close to Bournemouth station and football club, attracting sports enthusiasts and people passing through. Bournemouth is a peaceful coastal resort town on the south coast of England in southeast Dorset.

It’s a popular destination for tourists, attracting over five million visitors annually! You’ll love this area with its blue flag beaches and its vibrant nightlife. The town is also a regional centre of business. 

Agreement  

Our Tenancy agreements vary between 3 – 5 years offer a flexible approach to running your own pub business. Your pub will be ready to trade, with carefully tailored food and drinks menus in place which you can evolve as you go along.
You will receive a high level of support and everything you need to run a successful business. From the beginning, you will have dedicated Operations Manager, plus access to training and development, business planning, operations and accounting expertise. 

Once you’ve completed the 5-day induction course we’ll provide you with ongoing support to help you maximise the efficiency, sales and profitability of your pub. This includes helping you decide on the right drinks offer, guidance on margin and support creating a marketing plan to build for continued success. To help market your pub, we also offer lots of support and advice. 

Punch Tenancy agreements have shared repairs liability, we will help you manage your ongoing repairing obligations. We do this by operating a repairs and maintenance fund for all new agreements. 

* The calculation of the initial Ingoing Costs assumes a minimum deposit (£3,000 or £6,000) plus legal fees. The subsequent deposit build up (if any) will need to be paid over 52 weeks. This can be discussed with the recruitment team or Operations Manager
