Could you run this Ince pub?

The Duke of Wellington is a beautiful traditional pub located in the peaceful village of Ince. Recently refurbished throughout, the Duke is the best place in the local area for guests to kick back, relax and grab a bite to eat with friends and family. Guests bask in the warmth and comfort of the lounge bar heated by a rustic log burner.

The pub needs a charismatic duo at the helm who has a voracious appetite for learning all about and welcoming visiting guests and locals alike.

You’ll be a community and family orientated Publican/s who loves hosting a complete programme of events throughout the week from craft clubs to Stay and Play afternoons for toddlers, babies, and parents!

You’ll also cater to the older customers with a Good Morning Club from 11.30 am with tea, coffee, and pastries. Saturday is family day. You’ll love hosting fun family Bingo and Quizzes and delicious Sunday roasts! The savvy operator will take advantage of the car park housing ten vehicles, the small external drinking area and the games room for darts and pool.

The ideal operator

We’re looking for experienced, creative, and adaptable community operator/s who have a vision for the pub. There is an excellent opportunity here to develop the pub both in terms of wet and food sales. So, you’ll need a proven track record of serving quality food and drinks tailored for your target audience.

With our specialist Operations Managers on hand to support you and our award-winning training and delectable food team in tow, you’ll have everything you need to transform this successful pub with Punch. You’ll also be a charismatic Publican who knows your locals by name.

The location

The pub lies in the picturesque and small village of Ince, about 20 minutes from the historic city of Chester, a walled cathedral city steeped in history, on the River Dee, near to the border with Wales.

The savvy operator will take advantage of the dense 79,645 population (Census 2011) and the high number of visitors drawn to the beautiful area for its picture-perfect landscape and lovely walks. You’ll tap into village life to create a pub that is the beating heart of a local community.

You’ll find three private bedrooms, a kitchen, and a lounge at this property.
