If you are committed to driving optimum sales, then the majestic and picturesque Filly Inn, Brockenhurst, New Forest, could be for you. We’re looking for someone to drive sales from £25k to £30k per week in the first year.
You’ll be a perfectionist, delivering consistently ambitious standards of guest service. You’ll also have the creative mind necessary to flex business needs depending on weather, season, and events. We’re looking for a talented operator with experience in letting boutique rooms, someone who puts the guest front and centre of everything they do.
The pub and location
The Filly Inn is a charming 16th Century pub nestled in the rural surroundings of New Forest. It has been a regular haunt for ramblers and dog walkers for many years.
You’ll find the Filly Inn just over a mile from the picturesque village of Brockenhurst on the A337, one of the main routes through the New Forest down to the coast. The historic town of Lymington, located on The Solent, is four miles further.
We invested in the pub significantly in the spring of 2021 to ensure it attracts locals and guests from everywhere. The heart of the pub is the traditional country bar with scrub-topped tables and flagstone floors with a warm cosy snug and an open fire. Next to the bar is a bright yet relaxing dining room for seventy covers with an open kitchen and doors opening out onto a large terrace. The open kitchen demonstrates that food is a significant element of the business, making it the heartbeat of the pub.
The seven beautifully furnished bedrooms above the pub are all done to a high standard with large, sumptuous beds, country décor and shower rooms with rainstorm showers. These prove popular with holidaymakers and weekend trippers throughout the year.
The outside space is a showstopper! Guests enjoy a 200-cover terrace with a fire pit, covered and sheltered areas and a stretch tent alongside. We have made provision for a pop-up kitchen, and there is the added benefit of a mobile bar – The Pink Panther. Guests can sit back and relax in the sun with delicious food and drink while watching New Forest ponies wander by.
Here you’ll discover a kitchen and living area with breath-taking views over the New Forest. There’s a bathroom with a walk-in shower and two double bedrooms.

We understand how important it is for a Management Company to completely own their own team.
In Management Partnerships, we love pub obsessed Management Companies with an entrepreneurial spirit that can help us lead the industry. We love to engage Management Companies that help us create pub legacies that stand the test of time and become the hub of their community. We get that every pub has its own distinct character, so our Operations Manager will work closely with the Management Company to understand the true identity of the business, we can then help support and amplify this as part of the Management Partnership model.
