The George pub is a plush restaurant and small hotel near Tyntesfield, Bristol and Clevedon. You’ll be taking the helm of a picturesque and cosy inn six miles from Bristol’s City Centre and airport, well-known for delicious and beautifully presented dishes, great beers, and a quality selection of wine.
It’s a characterful old stone building with two main trading areas, a bar and a restaurant. The kitchen is next to the restaurant area. There are seven en suite letting rooms on the first floor, a large beer garden at the rear and a good-sized car park for 20 – 30 cars.
The George pub needs an operator experienced at adapting service style precisely for the occasion. You’ll set an ethos of camaraderie and recruit your team based on their love of people, in addition to their well-honed skills and experience.
You’ll be the ultimate host. Guests will feel relaxed and reassured in your company, as you will exude confidence and pride in your pub. You’ll have the keen eye for detail needed to ensure that your team executes simple and little things perfectly. The George requires an experienced food operator. You’ll be an adept host who is also confident in delegating to a well-trained and engaging team. You’ll excel in all aspects of your business, ensuring consistency from the kitchen to the cellar.

The pub and location
The George pub and restaurant has seven individually designed bed and breakfast rooms, each named after a different George. There’s also a large courtyard garden and a private dining room for up to fourteen people, ideal for hosting special events and functions.
The George sits in the heart of the village of Backwell in Somerset, about seven miles southwest of Bristol, just south of the A370 to Weston-Super-Mare. Blackwell shares its train station with Nailsea, and you can reach Bristol Temple Meads in 25 minutes.
