The Grey Horse is a busy community pub in the quaint village of Elvington on the outskirts of York. The pub has a vibrant atmosphere and is always full of locals, whether it be for a daytime catch up or after work drink, the Grey Horse is a place for friends to connect and for the whole family to enjoy. We are on the look out for an enthusiastic management company who are ready to immerse themselves in local life with exciting plans to deliver an offer locals will love.

Our ideal management company will have a passion for great food. With the skill to deliver a delicious menu and lead a great team to provide an epic guest experience every time the Grey Horse will maintain its reputation as the place to be to enjoy a wholesome Sunday roast in a comfortable environment that is truly a home from home.

There is always something going on at the Grey Horse, sitting on the village green it is truly the hub of the community. Our ideal partners will be keen to host a range of events, from live entertainment at the weekends to opening up the pub for local groups that need somewhere to meet.

The Pub

The Grey Horse is located at the heart of Elvington, sitting on the village green it’s a short journey into York. Set in an original stone building the pub has great curb appeal and entices locals and visitors alike.

The pub boasts a cosy lounge that is the perfect place for guests to enjoy a relaxed drinking experience and to connect with friends. It also has a dedicated restaurant and function room that doubles up as the breakfast room for the pubs two letting rooms. At the front of the pub is a beer garden with picnic style seating which overlooks the green and is always full during the Summer months.

This opportunity comes with unique living accommodation with its own three bedroom bungalow with a garden to the back of the pub.

Alongside tonnes of day to day support and a brilliant framework to grow the business, we provide an uncapped cut of top line turnover to pay yourself and your team in exchange for your Management Company providing the management services at the pub – it’s your structure to own. We understand how important it is for a Management Company to completely own their own team.

In Management Partnerships, we love pub obsessed Management Companies with an entrepreneurial spirit that can help us lead the industry. We love to engage Management Companies that help us create pub legacies that stand the test of time and become the hub of their community. We get that every pub has its own distinct character, so our Operations Manager will work closely with the Management Company to understand the true identity of the business, we can then help support and amplify this as part of the Management Partnership model.
