The Greyhound is a community mainstream pub that occupies a Grade 2 listed building on a prominent corner plot in the Suffolk village of Claydon, a short hop from the A14 and close to Ipswich. It has traded as a wet-led and sports-focused pub for the past 5 years, with pub games being an essential part of the mix.

The Greyhound operates across separate trading areas, with a lounge bar, public bar and a dedicated games space, where customers can play darts, pool and poker. About the local area

Claydon is one of the attractive outlying villages just to the north of Ipswich. It sits just off the busy A14 route through the area and is also not far from Bury St Edmunds. The village has two pubs and a population of about 2,000.

Once you’ve completed the 5-day induction course we’ll provide you with ongoing support to help you maximise the efficiency, sales and profitability of your pub. This includes helping you decide on the right drinks offer, guidance on margin and support creating a marketing plan to build for continued success. To help market your pub, we also offer lots of support and advice.
Punch Tenancy agreements have shared repairs liability, we will help you manage your ongoing repairing obligations. We do this by operating a repairs and maintenance fund for all new agreements.

* The calculation of the initial Ingoing Costs assumes a minimum deposit (£3,000 or £6,000) plus legal fees. The subsequent deposit build up (if any) will need to be paid over 52 weeks. This can be discussed with the recruitment team or Operations Manager
