The Halfway House is a well-loved community pub located at the heart of Prudhoe in Tyne & Wear. The pub has a traditional feel with a contemporary twist, featuring exposed wooden beams, original slate floors and comfortable fitted furniture. The pub can cater for 20 guests who come to enjoy its delicious Sunday Roast. It’s popular among locals for its quality sports offer with the showing of live sports through Sky Sports. As well as this the pub is home to local teams including darts and pool.

Located on the main road in Prudhoe, the pub has a cosy bar area with plenty of fixed and loose seating. This area is home to darts with TV screens for sports viewing. This room backs onto an additional area with loose seating that is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed drinking experience. Down a couple of stairs is a large room used for pool and as a function room. This has its own entrance, making it ideal for private bookings and events.

Prudhoe is a town in south Northumberland, just south of the River Tyne. The village hugs the hillside above the Tyne valley which provides stunning views of the countryside and surrounding woodland. Prudhoe has held onto a small community lifestyle, with the centre of the village decked with bunting and featuring locally owned stone built shops. Prudhoe is a short drive into Newcastle City centre which has a wealth of attractions that you would ask for from city life. The pub is ideally located to provide a balance of village living as well as being close by to the hustle and bustle of Newcastle.

About the Agreement

Our Tenancy agreements vary between 3 – 5 years offer a flexible approach to running your own pub business. Your pub will be ready to trade, with carefully tailored food and drinks menus in place which you can evolve as you go along.
You will receive a high level of support and everything you need to run a successful business. From the beginning, you will have dedicated Operations Manager, plus access to training and development, business planning, operations and accounting expertise.

Once you’ve completed the 5-day induction course we’ll provide you with ongoing support to help you maximise the efficiency, sales and profitability of your pub. This includes helping you decide on the right drinks offer, guidance on margin and support creating a marketing plan to build for continued success. To help market your pub, we also offer lots of support and advice.

Punch Tenancy agreements have shared repairs liability, we will help you manage your ongoing repairing obligations. We do this by operating a repairs and maintenance fund for all new agreements.

* The calculation of the initial Ingoing Costs assumes a minimum deposit (£3,000 or £6,000) plus legal fees. The subsequent deposit build up (if any) will need to be paid over 52 weeks. This can be discussed with the recruitment team or Operations Manager
