The John Walker Tavern is a lively town centre pub situated on Bridge Road, right at the heart of Stockton on Tees, which had a substantial refurbishment in 2019. It’s the place to be for live sport, a catch up with mates, a bite to eat, a cheeky pint after work, or to dance the weekend away – everything you’d expect from a great local pub.
We’re looking for a Management Partner or duo experienced in running retail-led businesses to a high standard. You’ll excel at producing great food with a keen interest in sporting events. We’re looking for someone with a big personality and the ability to engage with diverse customers. You’ll also maximise the business potential of the impending redevelopment in the area.
The pub and local area
At the John Walker Tavern, guests enjoy the perfect viewing of their favourite sports on Sky and BT, live and in HD on large screens! It’s the go-to venue to watch the biggest games in the Premier League.
You’ll find the pub on Bridge Street in the central area of Stockton, just off the River Tees on the edge of Stockton High Street. The local area has numerous local businesses, offices and shops which would bring potential customers. Stockton Council is embarking on an ambitious redevelopment programme in spring/summer 2022, which will see a large leisure complex built within 200m of the John Walker Tavern, an excellent business opportunity.
The private accommodation will be a studio flat situated on the ground floor.
