Upon entering the Lion, you will find yourself in the dining area with around 20 covers ideal for larger party bookings. The dining area leads to the servery and back bar. The picturesque outdoor garden space now boasts a bar servery and children’s play area popular with families. We cater for everyone, serving local homemade fresh quality food, facilitating celebrations and hosting events, live music, and quiz nights. The introduction of breakfasts at the weekend and afternoon tea have also gone down a treat with locals. Guests also benefit from a large car park opposite the pub.

Opposite the bar is the seating area, with high poser tables and stools where customers love to socialise. There is also a cosy area for dining that leads out in the courtyard with a softer and more relaxing atmosphere. About the local area 

Priorslee is a civil parish in the borough of Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire, that lies northeast of the Telford Town Centre and east of the town of Oakengates. The A5 runs through the area, and junction 4 of the M54 motorway is to the south.

You’ll benefit from student guests from the Priorslee Campus of the University of Wolverhampton. At the centre of the Priorslee Campus is the grade II listed eighteenth-century Priorslee Hall. The Priorslee area has also had significant housing developments concentrating on some of the more expensive housing in Telford. There is also a primary school and a secondary school. The nearest railway stations are Oakengates and Telford Central. The ideal operator will capitalise on the many cohorts of potential guests in the area.

There are also many tourist attractions close by, making this area popular with tourists and families. You’ll benefit from people visiting The Ironbridge Gorge Museum and mystery trail; ten pin bowling; two cinemas; an ice rink; Wonderland; Jungleland; and numerous other soft play areas.

Ideal Operator

We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate food let operator duo to serve a diverse range of great beers, ciders, and cask ales in addition to draught cocktails. You’ll need vast knowledge and experience of a high volume quality food operation, thrive in a fast-paced environment, have bags of energy, and lead your team to success by example. You’ll be all about rewarding and recognising your staff. You will inspire your team to be the best in class, have exceptional standards and have a keen eye for detail. Your customers will be at the heart of everything you do, and you will drive your business through an impactful social media presence and professional internal marketing.
