The Marmion Tavern sits on the outskirts of the most popular area of Southsea, the shopping centre, and close to the busy area of Albert Road & Elm Grove.  It has a small one-bed accommodation above and a new catering kitchen on the first floor.

Southsea is a vibrant part of the City of Portsmouth with a large student population, tourists and residents. The pub is also a short walk from the area’s main attraction: the beach.

The pub has been a community pub in the past, but it shouts to become a go-to destination with a perfect concept driven by the operator.

It is a one-room trading space zoned into two key areas, one side destined to be more relaxed with a lounge feel, ideal for grazing/dining and the other side more for upright and seated drinking. The bar takes centre stage in the middle of the pub in a horseshoe shape, lending itself well to a premium offer and even SKY sports.

The Marmion Tavern is a popular pub in Southsea, nestled on one of the high streets. You’ll find it curb side surrounded by small owner-operator chic shops, and the main Waitrose in Portsmouth.  The location capitalises on the passing trade from the main shopping area as it is just around the corner.

Ideal operator

We’re looking for an experienced operator with a concept and business plan to slot into the pub and dominate in a crowded marketplace. You’ll have the vision needed to excel and dare to be different. Food experience is desirable but not essential.
