The Pelham is set in a handsome Tudor style building, located at the heart of the North End of Portsmouth. The pub has a classic yet open feel, with high ceilings, traditional furnishings, and original slate a wooden floor. The pub is well-loved for its quality sports offer, including the showing of live sports through Sky Sports, as well as pub games with pool and darts. The pub plays hosts to epic entertainment including music nights that always fill the pub.

Guests enter the Pelham into the large main bar area, with a bar that runs down the length of the room and tall windows which give it an open feel. This room is home to darts and pool and has a mixture of low level and high-level seating. As well as this the pub has a snug lounge that has a cosy feel with low ceilings and exposed wooden beams that offers a more intimate drinking experience as well as space for up to 30 guests to dine on a delicious food menu. This is the perfect opportunity for a Publican with experience in operating a large and busy pub. You will have local knowledge with a passion for building relationships with the community as well as the ability to entice those who come to explore Portsmouth. You will have an enthusiasm for sport in order to maintain the Pelhams reputation as the best place to enjoy a game with friends.

Agreement

Our Tenancy agreements vary between 3 – 5 years offer a flexible approach to running your own pub business. Your pub will be ready to trade, with carefully tailored food and drinks menus in place which you can evolve as you go along.
You will receive a high level of support and everything you need to run a successful business. From the beginning, you will have dedicated Operations Manager, plus access to training and development, business planning, operations, and accounting expertise.

Once you have completed the 5-day induction course we’ll provide you with ongoing support to help you maximise the efficiency, sales and profitability of your pub. This includes helping you decide on the right drinks offer, guidance on margin and support creating a marketing plan to build for continued success. To help market your pub, we also offer lots of support and advice.

Punch Tenancy agreements have shared repairs liability, we will help you manage your ongoing repairing obligations. We do this by operating a repairs and maintenance fund for all new agreements.

 

* The calculation of the initial Ingoing Costs assumes a minimum deposit (£3,000 or £6,000) plus legal fees. The subsequent deposit build up (if any) will need to be paid over 52 weeks. This can be discussed with the recruitment team or Operations Manager
