Looking to run a pub?
Located close to Macclesfield town centre and well known locally, Porters is a high street value pub that trades as a traditional ale house. The pub offers a relaxed feel during the daytime, becoming a hub of entertainment, driven by destination through the evenings and weekends. It is a great stop off for workers, shoppers or and visitors for the weekend. Although the pub is wet led, the site has potential for a small, quality food offer. Having recently received a fabulous 5* Cask Marque rating, Porters is known for its quality cask ales and draught products.
Seen as the most traditional pub in Macclesfield, Porters is an open plan trading operation (50 seats), with one large bar and lounge area with free WiFi provided throughout. The pub also offers a prep room suitable for a small food offer. Outside, there’s a small rear yard with a smoking solution, plus direct access to the town’s largest car park.
The domestic accommodation consists of four bedrooms, a kitchen and a lounge.
About the local area
The Porters is located on Roe Street, one of the main routes into the town centre. It’s shouldered by local housing and surrounded by car parks and large branded shops and local offices.
This pub may suit
The Porters may suit a Publican with passion for Cask Marque and good local knowledge or the experience in a similar establishment ready to take the step up, plus the ability to offer a clever and inspiring daytime offer making it a welcoming stop off and become a more lively evening bar.
