We’re looking for an experienced community operator who enjoys cooking rustic and locally sourced homecooked food; someone who is a specialist in creating and delivering premium and hearty pub food complementing each season.
With our specialist Operations Managers on hand to support you and our award-winning training and delectable food team in tow, you’ll have everything you need to run a successful pub with Punch. You’ll also be a charismatic Publican who knows your locals by name.
The pub sits at the midpoint between Chelmsford and Colchester in the affluent village of Great Totham. It is a rural pub in a small Essex village that includes the Island of Osea in the black water estuary. The ideal operator will make this pub the go-to community hub of Great Totham.
You’ll find three private bedrooms, a kitchen, and a lounge at this property.
Our Tenancy agreements vary between 3 – 5 years offer a flexible approach to running your own pub business. Your pub will be ready to trade, with carefully tailored food and drinks menus in place which you can evolve as you go along.
You will receive a high level of support and everything you need to run a successful business. From the beginning, you will have dedicated Operations Manager, plus access to training and development, business planning, operations and accounting expertise.
Once you’ve completed the 5-day induction course we’ll provide you with ongoing support to help you maximise the efficiency, sales and profitability of your pub. This includes helping you decide on the right drinks offer, guidance on margin and support creating a marketing plan to build for continued success. To help market your pub, we also offer lots of support and advice.
Punch Tenancy agreements have shared repairs liability, we will help you manage your ongoing repairing obligations. We do this by operating a repairs and maintenance fund for all new agreements.
* The calculation of the initial Ingoing Costs assumes a minimum deposit (£3,000 or £6,000) plus legal fees. The subsequent deposit build up (if any) will need to be paid over 52 weeks. This can be discussed with the recruitment team or Operations Manager.
