Overview

Could you run this pub?
Located in a prominent high street position in the small town of Rothbury on the edge of Northumberland National Park, the Queens Head Hotel is a stone-built community mainstream pub that’s steeped in history. Known for its quality food and a vibrant bar that also hosts live music events, this business also offers 9 well-presented letting rooms that are busy throughout the year. Especially during spring and summer when there’s an influx of tourists, walkers and cyclists to the area.

We’re looking for an experienced operator who has previously run high volume food operations and ideally also letting rooms. Managed pub experience would be ideal, as this pub is being marketed on a Managed Partnership agreement where standards are extremely important. It would be ideal for someone with a passion for live music, as the Queens Head has a great reputation for year-round entertainment and this is something that we’re looking to continue.

The pub & location
The Queens Head trades across a dining & snug area that’s used throughout the week, but is especially busy for the Sunday lunch offer, and a public bar that shows live sport and music. The kitchen can cater for up to 70 covers at full capacity. The pub offers 9 recently refurbished letting rooms on the first & second floor, which are all finished to a high standard. Outside, there’s a pleasant beer garden, a smoking solution and a car park with spaces for 10 vehicles.

Accommodation
The private accommodation includes one bedroom, a private kitchen and lounge
