The Railway is a traditional, yet vibrant pub situated in the heart of the picturesque village of St. Agnes on the north coast of Cornwall. The venue has long been a staple of the community, offering a welcoming atmosphere, hearty food, and a wide selection of local ales and ciders. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Management Partner to take the helm of this historic pub, and to build upon its well-established reputation as both a local watering hole and a destination venue.

As the new Management Partner, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of The Railway, driving revenue growth, maintaining high standards of service, and leading a small but dedicated team. This is a hands-on role that will require a passion for hospitality, a good understanding of local food and drink culture, and the ability to foster relationships with both locals and visitors alike.

The Pub

The Railway Inn is a  traditional 19^th Century, Grade 2 listed pub has a prominent roadside location in the residential end of the village in St Agnes.

St Agnes sits on the north Cornish coast, oozing outstanding natural beauty in a World Heritage Site. Unsurprisingly, the road past the pub becomes increasingly busy during the summer months, and visitors will often stop for a bite to eat or a drink. By Cornish standards, this is a large village with plenty of amenities. You’ll capitalise on a pub that trades well throughout the year.

Internally, you will find plenty of character befitting an old property. Externally, there is a large car park and two terraced areas, which capture the sun throughout the day and host popular local events throughout the season!

The Railway Inn has been at the heart of the local community for many years. The business is unspoilt by time. You’ll need to embrace the style and create the atmosphere through astute zoning of the sections to create defined spaces for your eclectic mix of customers.
