Being the custodian of The Redmore Inn will provide you with a quality lifestyle on the edge of Cannock Chase. The pub is currently a blank canvas waiting for the talented operator to characterise it with their creative and distinctive flair.
The pub needs a dynamic, entrepreneurial, experienced food operator to drive epic food sales. It’s a gem of an opportunity for you to reposition this classic pub into an exquisite food haven. You’ll need experience in leading skilled kitchen teams, a keen eye for detail and your kitchen standards must be exceptional. The key to the success of this site resides in developing and retaining a superb reputation for fantastic quality food, service, and an excellent guest experience.
The kitchen will be the engine room of your business, but you will also take pride in your cellar. Your focus on the quality of your beer will ensure you consistently achieve a five-star cask marque.
You’ll recruit, train, coach, retain and inspire the best staff leading by example. Your enthusiasm will be infectious, sharing with your team your passion for exceptional service. You’ll give them the tools to go above and beyond every day for every customer, whatever the occasion. You’ll also educate and empower your team to speak confidently about the food and drink offer and make recommendations when asked to ensure they make a great choice.
Excellent hosting skills are crucial. You’ll understand the diverse reasons customers visit your pub, and you’ll make every visit memorable.
The pub and locality
The Redmore Inn is a classic old-fashioned coaching inn, set on the edge of Cannock Chase a mile to the North of Burntwood Town Centre. What qualifies the pub as special is its beautiful location with rolling countryside to every aspect. Cannock Chase is a desirable place to visit and enjoys passing trade from ramblers, dog walkers, families stopping off on the way to or from the Chase.
Guests access the bright and airy dining area mainly through the side door. There is also a front door off the main road, which enters directly into the bar area, a lovely, cosy snug with a feature fireplace to the right and a more open double-height flexible drinking and dining area to the left. There is a bespoke catering kitchen to ensure that you can create and serve the optimum food. Upstairs there is a well-maintained flat. The pub has a traditional and welcoming feel, enhanced by a sympathetic refurbishment completed just over two years ago.
Double doors to the rear of the pub give access to a sensational external trading area. Here you will find a true gem, the go-to pub garden on the first sunny day of the year with an outside bar, a barbeque, and a popular play area for little people. The pub garden is not only a suntrap, but it is also a picturesque place to wind down after a hard day at work or walking across the Chase.
We are looking for a talented Management Partner to put this chocolate box pub on the map. You’ll give it a larger than life reputation. This little gem is crying out for some tender loving care. You’ll be willing to not only bring this pub back to its former glory but to go above and beyond all it has been before. You will need courage, vision, skill, tenacity, and a relentless focus on the quality of your food, drink, and customer service to make this a pub where memories are made that will last a lifetime. Could you be the missing piece of this success story?
