The Swan needs an operator with a strong personality who can demonstrate the inspirational leadership and passion needed to take it into the next phase of its success story. You’ll provide good value and quality pub food, premium drinks and cask ales with Live TV Sports and regular entertainment also on offer.
You’ll need excellent hosting skills with meticulous attention to detail and speed of service. Knowledge of wet and dry stock control is also essential.
You’ll excel at serving quality pub food, hosting live sports, and planning events. Using the SKY and BT packages to great success will be essential. You’ll also be an exceptional people person, getting the best out of your team through coaching, training, delegation, and support. You’re a true leader who can inspire your team to share their passion for exceptional service, going above and beyond every day.
Local knowledge is a plus but not essential. You will have a true passion for driving sales at every opportunity.
The pub and location
The Swan sits on a busy main road in Tettenhall, a well-populated part of Wolverhampton with many local attractions driving potential guests to the area. These include National Indoor Shooting Centre, Molyneux Stadium, Mander Centre shopping, Wolverhampton Racecourse and Wightwick Manor National Trust.
The Swan is a traditional community pub due to receive investment early this year. It sits in a great position surrounded by houses on the main road between Wolverhampton and Wombourne, which bring regular passing trade.
The pub attracts a mixture of guests, including residents, visitors to the area and families looking for a bite to eat. As one of the bigger pubs in the area, there is a fantastic opportunity to provide the community with a go-to venue for special occasions, using its spacious beer garden. The pub has a large kitchen, catering for up to 60 covers, and the car park can house up to 30 vehicles.
