The Tavistock Inn is a well-loved pub in Devon. It is a hidden gem, with a quirky, fresh interior and a delicious range of local beer. 

The pub is also known for its delicious food menu, full of pub favourites with a twist. It has an open plan feel with an L shaped bar surrounded by plenty of comfortable seating. 

Behind the bar is a hidden staircase leading up to four en-suite large double rooms for the bed and breakfast offer. The Tavistock Inn also boasts a beautiful, covered courtyard to be enjoyed all year round. You’ll also discover a patio area with space for a further 20 guests.  

Refurbishment 

We have upgraded the letting rooms, including adding new ceramic fixtures to the en-suite bathrooms. We’ve also added much-needed sparkle to ground floor trade areas. 

The new operator will also appreciate the reworked pitched roof and significant repair works to the fabric and windows. Guests will also enjoy the designed fixtures and fittings in the letting rooms and trading area.

The property has one bedroom, a private kitchen and a lounge.

Tavistock is a thriving market town on the River Tavy, an ancient stannary town and home of cream tea. Tavistock is the only town in Devon to hold world heritage status. 

Tavistock boasts a range of locally owned independent shops, making it a friendly, intriguing and inclusive atmosphere. The town is also home to the famous Pannier and award-winning Farmers’ markets. Tavistock is truly a shoppers paradise. 

The town has direct access to Dartmoor, a popular spot for walking, cycling and riding. The pub sits at the end of the high street, making it popular with locals and visitors alike.
