The Fox pub is perfect for an operator with considerable experience serving traditional pub grub and a keen interest in sports.

Ideally, you’ll be a community operator with knowledge of the local area. We’re looking for someone personable, outgoing, and confident when organising and hosting a weekly entertainment programme to draw in extra trade.

The pub and location

You’ll find the Fox on the edge of a large residential area in the Merseyside town of Maghull, which lies about eight miles north of Liverpool city centre. Maghull has a population of about 20,000, and the pub sits on the eastern edge of the community, on a key bus route.

The Fox is a popular community value pub with a loyal sports following. It’s an attractive looking pub, having had a refurbishment in 2018, with a decked beer garden area to the front of the property and a large thirty space car park to the rear and side.

The pub currently attracts regular guests who enjoy watching the live sports coverage and playing darts and pool. Sport on TV, traditional pub games and weekly live entertainment will continue to be at the core of the offer here, along with a value for money menu offering traditional pub favourites.

The Fox has two trading areas, but the bar area is the sports zone, while the lounge caters for diners during the day and early evening with fifty covers, ideal for evening entertainment.

The Fox is a two-room operation, and you could use the lounge area as a separate function area as required.

About the Agreement

Our Tenancy agreements vary between 3 – 5 years offer a flexible approach to running your own pub business. Your pub will be ready to trade, with carefully tailored food and drinks menus in place which you can evolve as you go along.
You will receive a high level of support and everything you need to run a successful business. From the beginning, you will have dedicated Operations Manager, plus access to training and development, business planning, operations and accounting expertise.

Once you’ve completed the 5-day induction course we’ll provide you with ongoing support to help you maximise the efficiency, sales and profitability of your pub. This includes helping you decide on the right drinks offer, guidance on margin and support creating a marketing plan to build for continued success. To help market your pub, we also offer lots of support and advice.

Punch Tenancy agreements have shared repairs liability, we will help you manage your ongoing repairing obligations. We do this by operating a repairs and maintenance fund for all new agreements.

* The calculation of the initial Ingoing Costs assumes a minimum deposit (£3,000 or £6,000) plus legal fees. The subsequent deposit build up (if any) will need to be paid over 52 weeks. This can be discussed with the recruitment team or Operations Manager
