The pub has an open-plan trading area, with a small bar offering traditional ales and dining throughout in a variety of settings, with 45 covers in all, delivered by the commercial kitchen. About the local area

Frodsham is set on rising land overlooking the Cheshire Plain towards Manchester, and the Travellers Rest looks over the rolling fields towards the Pennines and the Peaks. The pub is just over a mile from Frodsham, a close-knit market town with every amenity you could desire. The town’s Main Street is believed to be one of the widest streets in England, and provides a base for its many shops and businesses, with the popular market taking over on a weekly basis so local suppliers and farmers can ply their trade. Manchester, Northwich, Merseyside, Runcorn and Warrington are all in easy commuting distance – in fact, Frodsham couldn’t be better placed, as it’s just off the M56 motorway that leads towards Manchester Airport.

The incoming publican at the Travellers Rest will be a skilled and ambitious professional with experience of managing a medium to high-volume catering business. You’ll be able to guide and control a busy kitchen with a high turnover of dishes at peak times, ensuring standards never dip, and you’ll also have some ideas about how to grow the wet side of trade. Walkers are a key market here, so attracting seasonal trade will also be an essential element of the business. You’ll have a passion for good ale – and you may also be a keen gardener who can make the most of the pub’s currently undermarketed beer garden.

About the Agreement

Our Tenancy agreements vary between 3 – 5 years offer a flexible approach to running your own pub business. Your pub will be ready to trade, with carefully tailored food and drinks menus in place which you can evolve as you go along.

You will receive a high level of support and everything you need to run a successful business. From the beginning, you will have a dedicated Operations Manager, plus access to training and development, business planning, operations and accounting expertise.

Once you’ve completed the 5-day induction course we’ll provide you with ongoing support to help you maximise the efficiency, sales and profitability of your pub. This includes helping you decide on the right drinks offer, guidance on margin and support creating a marketing plan to build for continued success. To help market your pub, we also offer lots of support and advice.

Punch Tenancy agreements have shared repairs liability, we will help you manage your ongoing repairing obligations. We do this by operating a repairs and maintenance fund for all new agreements.

* The calculation of the initial Ingoing Costs assumes a minimum deposit (£3,000 or £6,000) plus legal fees. The subsequent deposit build up (if any) will need to be paid over 52 weeks. This can be discussed with the recruitment team or an Operations Manager.
