The White Horse is a well-loved community pub located at the heart of the village of Marchwood in Southampton. Set in a beautiful Georgian building, the pub has a cosy feel with exposed wooden beams and open fires, that paired with some traditional pub grub offers guests an authentic pub experience. Marchwood is a pretty village in Southampton, Hampshire. This lovely village is steeped in Roman history. Nestled between Totton and Hythe and not far from the New forest it boasts good transport links and benefits from being close to Southampton water.  The area has good schools and offers true village life with friendly faces and local amenities such as a village shop nearby to the pub.

This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Publican or someone looking to take on their first pub venture. You will be keen to build local relationships in order to maintain the pubs position as a hub of the community as well as have the ability to deliver an epic food offer. You will have a passion for real ales but above all a love for the local area and those in it.


Our Tenancy agreements vary between 3 – 5 years offer a flexible approach to running your own pub business. Your pub will be ready to trade, with carefully tailored food and drinks menus in place which you can evolve as you go along.
You will receive a high level of support and everything you need to run a successful business. From the beginning, you will have dedicated Operations Manager, plus access to training and development, business planning, operations and accounting expertise.

Once you’ve completed the 5-day induction course we’ll provide you with ongoing support to help you maximise the efficiency, sales and profitability of your pub. This includes helping you decide on the right drinks offer, guidance on margin and support creating a marketing plan to build for continued success. To help market your pub, we also offer lots of support and advice.

Punch Tenancy agreements have shared repairs liability, we will help you manage your ongoing repairing obligations. We do this by operating a repairs and maintenance fund for all new agreements.

* The calculation of the initial Ingoing Costs assumes a minimum deposit (£3,000 or £6,000) plus legal fees. The subsequent deposit build up (if any) will need to be paid over 52 weeks. This can be discussed with the recruitment team or Operations Manager
