We Won! Punch Pubs & Co have been crowned Best Pub Company at pub industry Oscars
Punch Pubs & Co has won the award for Best Leased & Tenanted Pub Company (501+) at the finals of the Publican Awards 2020.
Here at Punch we have taken huge steps forward on our journey to transform our culture and create exciting possibilities through our pub-by-pub approach, with Publicans at the heart of everything we do.
We’re extremely proud of the progress that we’ve made in the past two years working together with our Publicans and teams, rejuvenating community pubs across the UK whilst also focusing on how we work and communicate better, together.
With bold ambition, investing over £35 million in our pubs in 2019 we have unlocked phenomenal pub possibilities across the UK as well as opening the Welcome Inn here at Punch HQ and our industry leading training space, The Academy which offers a warm welcome to all of our Publicans.
Speaking about being crowned champion of Leased & Tenanted pub companies, Clive Chesser, CEO of Punch, said, “This is fantastic news and I am so proud of every one of our pubs and all our amazing people who make Punch what it is today. We all have a genuine passion for pubs and this award has shown that by running great pubs, we all win together.
“All of our Publicans deserve as much praise for this award because every day they make a difference through their hard work and by bringing the Great British Pub to life for their customers.”
At Punch we love beer and pubs. We support Publicans because we want to help them realise each pub’s true potential. This isn’t simply about selling more beer or delivering a better bottom line, it’s bigger than that – it’s about outstanding Publicans, busier pubs and more connected communities.
