Local pub reopens with transformed outdoor area following joint investment

The Navigation Inn, located at the heart of Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove, has reopened following a joint investment that has transformed its outdoor space, Punch have invested jointly with our Publicans, Geoff Lee, Iain Harling and Craig Knight remaining in partnership at the helm.

The investment has completely transformed the pubs outdoor space to achieve a secret garden feel for alfresco drinking and dining. The garden is now twice the size it once was and has been completely re landscaped to create separate trading areas using patio, decking and grassed sections. It is decked with festoon lighting, beautiful hanging baskets and planters and has new furniture including covered booths which can be enjoyed all year round.

An external garden room that doubles up as a function room as also been created in the garden by converting a previously unused outbuilding. As well as this there is a brand new outdoor bar dedicated to serving the garden where customers can enjoy anything from a crisp cold gin to a draft pint. The Publicans also used their time during closure to revamp the pub internally, decorating to enhance the pubs cosy traditional feel.

When speaking about the investment Publicans Geoff, Iain and Craig say, “We are so thrilled that we can now take full advantage of our outdoor space with our beautiful new beer garden. This is an amazing area for our customers to enjoy both in the sun and colder months. Although this has been a challenging time, we used our period of closure to makeover the pub and it has enabled us to have an additional area that allows us to welcome even more of our guests to the pub safely”.

Punch’s Operation Director Lucy Barker says, “This is an exciting investment by Punch and Geoff, Iain and Craig who have operated the Navigation Inn for a number of years. By recognising these well-established Publicans and working alongside them, we have together developed an even better pub for the area and local community to enjoy”.

The pub has reopened with a brand new ‘High Five’ Menu that’s full of everyone’s homemade pub favourites, plus some incredible new dishes, at an excellent price. The Navigation Inn pride themselves on their quality food, which includes a delicious Sunday roast, epic customer service, and it remains the place to be to book and enjoy special occasions with friends and family.
