The Wildman pub in Norwich city centre has new operators and a new look following a £120,000 makeover. Experienced pub operators, Peter Harvey and Frances Chisholm have partnered with us to create a whole new offer at the High Street venue. The interior has been completely transformed with light, modern and quirky finishes and lighting which compliments the traditional pub and has created an intimate environment. A new bar layout now includes a separate cocktail servery which will cater for their signature and classic cocktails on offer. The pub will also have a new range of fine wines and regularly changing craft beers alongside cask ales and a new food menu.
Speaking about their new venture, Frances who was born and bred in Norwich and recently returned from a 20-year career in hospitality in London said, “The Wildman was the perfect location for our dream to create an amazing venue. It is in the heart of Norwich city, with its amazing bespoke design and innovative drinks range, we are looking forward to showcasing our passion for hospitality at the Wildman”.
Punch’s operations director, Ed Passey said, “By matching the right operator with the right pub, Norwich has a unique, fun and quirky city centre venue that more than matches any seen inside our capital and we are looking forward to seeing the success following this investment on the Norwich social scene”.
The pub investment has created eight jobs and the operators are an ethically environmental minded operation working with local charities and within their community. Both Peter and Frances want to have a positive impact on Norwich. They have committed to pay real living wage to their employees and are a LGBTQ+ safe zone. A daily cocktail offer will be available with an all-night Friday Cocktail Club.
