The Fox Inn in Guisborough town centre, officially opened its doors on Thursday with Middlesbrough legend, Gary Pallister cutting the ribbon with Landlord, Michael Crane.

The pub has been given a new lease of life following our £350, 000 investment. Works included a full internal decoration to create a brighter, more modern and welcoming environment alongside new exterior lighting, signage and redecoration. This much-loved pub now stands out and offers customers a revamped outdoor space with new seating and festoon lighting.

Landlord, Michael, is well known in Guisborough having successfully ran The Fox since 2014. He has also recently revamped the 8 lettings rooms the pub offers for bed and breakfast.

Speaking about the investment Michael said “I’m so excited to be back open, the pub looks great and I can’t wait for everyone to come and see the new look. We have great plans to ensure The Fox remains at the very heart of the community welcoming customers old and new to come and enjoy their time with us.’’

With the refurbishment the pub has launched a new menu featuring sharing platters and burgers alongside a Sunday carvery offer for families to enjoy. It will continue to have a range of quality cask, craft and world beers as well as premium spirit and gin menus. All the key sporting events throughout the year will feature plus regular live music events, pub quizzes and comedy nights.

Punch’s regional operations director, Mandy Southall said, “This is a substantial investment by Punch in a well-established community pub. Michael is a fantastic publican and we are very much looking forward to continuing to work together to create a bright future for The Fox Inn.’’

Punch owns and operates 1300 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales and is investing £32 million in its pub estate in the next year with the right Publicans running their pubs.
