A warm and welcoming pub, situated on the picturesque streets of Bath has reopened with a new Management Partner and big plans for its future.

Having been in the industry for as long as he can remember, new landlord Franky Bright has always loved to be amongst people. Starting off in the events industry, he worked his way up within hospitality before finally taking on a pub of his own.

“I’ve been in the industry a long time,” said Franky. “I’ve always enjoyed being a part of people’s good times and I love to be sociable. I’d moved to Bristol after university and ran various bars there before moving to Bath. I lived just down the road from The Claremont, and it reminded me of one of the first pubs I ran. It’s always been well looked after and has lots of potential too.”

A big advocate for having a good time and bringing life back to the pub, Franky immediately got to work on creating a new vibe at The Claremont and since moving in mid-May, has already introduced new promotions and events nights for customers both old and new to enjoy.

The popular local is well-known for its stone baked pizzas, paired with timeless classics and Sunday roasts, and boasts a modern interior, quaint beer garden and an overhauled all-weather terrace to be enjoyed all-year round.

“I want people to know that everyone is welcome here. We offer good service, a mix of events and cater to private events, it’s going to be fun, we just want to give everyone a great time,” Franky said.

Ensuring that customers are in for a good time, The Claremont has already begun its fortnightly quiz sessions – each one with a different theme, as well as a DJ and live music on the last Friday of every month.  Franky also hopes to extend the Claremont’s pizza range with new and exciting flavours and has introduced an Aperol and pizza deal available for £15 every Saturday.

Destined to be a hit with locals and tourists alike, The Claremont’s extensive drinks range which boasts real ales, craft beers and a broad wine list will soon be reinvented with carefully curated cocktails and even an early week promotion.

Talking about his aspirations for his first year at the helm, Franky said: “I want to make the pub a cosy, comfortable and welcoming place to be. I hope that guests will enjoy good food and drink, will socialise and play, and most importantly I want to bring the pub back to life so that everyone can enjoy what we have to offer.”

Catering for all guests, Franky has ensured that The Claremont offers something for everyone and from board games for the family to television screens showcasing global and national sporting events, the revamped pub is likely to be a hit across the community and beyond.

Punch Pubs & Co Operations Manager, Helena Perry said: “We’re incredibly excited to have Franky on board and I look forward to seeing his plans come to life at The Claremont. With his fantastic experience within the industry and his passion for running a great pub, I’ve got no doubt that the future looks positive.”
