Punch, the independent pub operator is calling on their 1300 Publicans to nominate their local heroes.  The initiative is part of their summer Heroes campaign – “Not all Heroes wear capes” and will find the ultimate pub hero who will win Red Letter vouchers for a weekend away, to be announced in July.

Speaking about the initiative, marketing and strategy director Russell Danks said, “We know that pubs have many local heroes; whether that’s a local who does good, a member of their team who always goes that extra mile, or the pub landlord themselves who delivers above and beyond for their local community.  To celebrate our local heroes, we are asking our pubs to nominate their own for a chance to win this great prize”.

The campaign is supported by the launch of a new beer brewed in partnership with Punch for their pubs.  Laine Brew Co has developed a unique brew called Heroes with 10p from every pint sold going to The Royal Marines Charity in support of true British heroes.  The beer is available to Punch pubs throughout June, the month where many heroes are being commended across the country at the British Armed Forces days.
