The supplier day was hosted in the industry leading Training Academy and invited guests included old and new suppliers who are helping the new Punch to transform its business and successfully deliver its new strategic plan. The day enabled suppliers to meet Punch representatives seeing first-hand the Punch business strategy and network with others in the sector.

Speaking about the event, CEO Clive Chesser said, “Following the change in ownership and leadership of Punch last year there has been an incredible effort to enhance and build relationships with long established suppliers and seek out new ones to enable us to grow and move forward, aligned to our strategy.

Our suppliers provide all the best products and services the consumer demands. From small independents to large multi-nationals, our suppliers cover everything for running the best community pubs. By inviting our suppliers to join us, they were able to really understand what we are trying to achieve and can work with us to do that”.

Over 150 individuals attended the day, including major drink suppliers such as AB InBev and Britvic. Family brewer representatives and local drink manufacturers including Black Sheep and Castle Rock were also in attendance on the day, along with food and sundries suppliers such as Brakes

Chesser added, “We enjoy a really positive relationship with our suppliers. Hosting events like this is a fantastic opportunity to share our vision as we all strive to provide the best support for our Publicans and create epic community pubs.”.

A key supplier in attendance, national account manager for Marston’s, Kevin Bourne, commented “As a supplier it’s been really beneficial to attend the event and understand better the strategic direction and how the Marston’s beer brands are playing an important role in providing the best support for the Publicans running Punch pubs. Long may it continue”.
