Punch has recognised eighteen of its Publicans at the Midlands and North West 2016 Regional Publican of the Year event.

In the third event of its kind held this year across the UK, each Punch Development Manager and New Business Manager in the Midlands and North West Region nominated a Publican deserving of Special Recognition, and then their overall Area Winner.

The event, held at Pesto in Widnes, saw all of the Punch Publicans personally recognised in a speech by their Punch Development Manager, citing their achievements and success during the last twelve months and why they had achieved the accolade.

In the finale of the night, the overall winner for the whole of the Region was named as Pauline Stephenson of the Deysbrook, Liverpool.

Punch Regional Operations Director Paul Linton commented: “These awards are our opportunity to show our appreciation for the hard work and dedication shown by our Publicans, and it was a fantastic night for all of us. It was such a difficult decision to pick an overall winner as a high level of skill, enthusiasm and dedication to great hospitality was on display in every business; but Pauline is a worthy winner.”
