Leading pub company Punch Pubs & Co has added to its growing portfolio with the acquisition of The Oddfellows Arms pub in Bradford.
The community pub will join Punch’s Leased and Tenanted estate and will be run by local, multiple and longtime Punch Publican Tony Good, who has taken over from former Publican Mick Gallagher after over 20 years at the helm.
Speaking about the acquisition, Punch Pubs & Co Head of Acquisitions, Andrew Cannons, commented: “We’re thrilled to have acquired this fantastic community pub, which already has a great reputation locally. I do not doubt that with Punch’s industry-leading training and support, and under the helm of Tony, this pub will continue to be the beating heart of the community.”
The spacious open-plan pub is popular among guests, known for its vast space that caters for diners and those joining for a casual drink, as well as guests looking to enjoy a friendly game of pool or darts. Its regular entertainment schedule is always a hit locally, alongside its home-cooked food offering.
Punch Pubs Operations Manager Jason Moran added: “Tony is a fantastic operator, and we’re delighted to welcome him to the Oddfellows Arms. His focus will be on ensuring the pub remains a community hub for everyone to enjoy. I’m looking forward to working with him and the team and witnessing even more success at this beloved local.”
Punch is continually on the lookout for more quality acquisitions, including packages and single-site opportunities that fit well with its modern and progressive vision and growth plans.
