Leading pub company Punch Pubs & Co has expanded its growing portfolio with the acquisition of the Tap on the Tutt pub in Boroughbridge, York.

The Grade II-listed pub, which sits in the heart of Boroughbridge, will continue to be run by existing manager, Emma Ward and the team, as they transition into the Punch family.

Speaking about the acquisition, Punch Pubs & Co Head Acquisitions, Andrew Cannons, commented: “We are delighted to welcome The Tap on the Tutt into the Punch family. With its strong reputation, we’re looking forward to working with Emma and the team to build on its success and ensure it remains a welcoming pub at the heart of the community for years to come.”

The historic pub offers a carefully curated selection of speciality real ales to be enjoyed in a cosy retreat with a crackling fire or over a game of pool in the pub’s entertainment area.

Punch Pubs Operations Manager Jason Moran added: “The Tap on the Tutt is a beautiful pub, and what makes it truly special is the team behind it. I’m looking forward to working with Emma and her team to ensure the pub remains at the heart of the community.”

Punch is continually on the lookout for more quality acquisitions, including packages and single-site opportunities that fit well with its modern and progressive vision and growth plans.
