Leading pub company Punch Pubs & Co has added to its growing portfolio with the acquisition of The Three Little Pigs pub in Crediton.
The High Street pub, which sits in the market town square, will join Punch’s Management Partnership estate and will be run by James and Heidi Belton, current Management Partners of another Punch Pub, The Star in Liverton.
Experienced operators, James and Heidi, will be overseeing the running of the pub, alongside its existing team, with a joint ambition of carrying on Sandra and her late husband Maurice Wannacott’s fantastic legacy.
Speaking about the acquisition, Punch Pubs & Co Head of Acquisitions, Andrew Cannons, commented: “We are delighted to welcome the Three Little Pigs into our Punch family. This truly is a wonderful pub with deep heritage and a strong community connection, which through James and Heidi’s expert leadership, will not be lost as they embed themselves into the local community.”
A local favourite, the Three Little Pigs has a strong sense of community and attracts a vast range of guests from local sports teams and students to visitors to the neighbouring towns of Exmouth and Dartmoor.
Punch Pubs Operations Manager James Farmer added: “Having worked with James and Heidi for the past five years, I am confident they will retain the pub’s legacy while continuing to develop it as the go‑to place in the town. I’m really looking forward to working with the existing team and getting to know the locals, as together we ensure that the Three Little Pigs remains at the heart of its community for many years to come.”
Punch is continually on the lookout for more quality acquisitions, including packages and single-site opportunities that fit well with its modern and progressive vision and growth plans.
