The Six Bells pub situated in the heart of Fulbourn village near Cambridge has reopened following a £350,000 investment, with new Publican, Donna Perry taking the helm.
The historic, timber framed pub, dates to the 15th Century and is well loved by the local community. Work at the newly opened pub has included a full internal refurbishment creating a modern, yet traditional feel with clearly defined bar, lounge and dining areas. The pub’s function room now has improved facilities, new lighting, flooring and furnishings throughout.
The pub’s exterior also boasts new signage and has benefited from a full redecoration and changes also being made to the vast garden space with added festoon lighting and better seating under the pergola.
New Publican, Donna, has a wealth of experience in hospitality and together, with her family, runs an award-winning taxi firm in nearby Thetford. Speaking about the pub, Donna said, “We are really excited to be here at The Six Bells and the investment has really done the pub proud. We are looking forward to welcoming customers old and new back into their local and to sharing our plans to ensure it remains at the very heart of the community.”
The Six Bells has created a new food menu which includes pub classics and firm favourites offered with a modern twist which is available every day. More cask ales, craft and world beers are now on the bar alongside an extensive new spirit range including 16 different Gins.
Adding Donna said, “We are going to show regular live sporting events as we now have BT Sport in the lounge, plus regular family fun days, games nights and race days.”
