The Exeter Inn in Tiverton has relaunched following a £650k investment by pub owners, Punch.

This traditional 15th century country inn has been transformed creating a spectacular venue for the local community and visitors to the area to enjoy all year round.

Work has included a full exterior redecoration including new signage and lighting. The inside of the pub has also been completely overhauled creating a warm, relaxing, home from home environment.

The pub boasts a large dining room and is the perfect space to host any occasion. There is also a cosy ‘snug’ available for smaller groups and private dining.

The investment works also included a full refurbishment of the 8 charming, boutique en-suite letting rooms and self-contained cottage making The Exeter Inn the perfect location for guests wanting to stay over and explore North Devon.

The Punch owned pub will be operated by new Publican, Simone Taylor who brings with her a wealth of experience in hospitality and a passion for providing a fantastic experience for her customers.

Simone will be running The Exeter Inn with the help of her Daughter, Taylor and son-in-law Dan, a real family affair!

Speaking about the changes, Punch CEO Clive Chesser, said “We are extremely proud of the work that has gone into transforming The Exeter Inn.

“Our new Publican, Simone, has some exciting plans to ensure the pub operates at the heart of the community and is the chosen destination for guests wanting to stay over. We are looking forward to working with Simone and her family as they grow their business over the forthcoming years.”

To match a fantastic drinks range the pub will also offer a high quality, all-day food menu. The menu will feature all the pub classics that will be home cooked using locally sourced produce.

People will come for miles to enjoy an epic Sunday Roast, particularly the Roast Chicken sharing platter.  The beautifully roasted dish is served whole at the table ready to carve with homemade stuffing, perfectly cooked veggies and suitably splendid roasties making The Exeter Inn stand out as the place to be on a Sunday.

Simone said, “We are really excited to be reopening, the pub looks amazing. We have lots of plans for the future and are really looking forward to welcoming customers old and new to come and enjoy their time with us.”

Punch owns and operates 1300 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales and is investing £32 million in its pub estate in the next year with brilliant publicans like Simone running their pubs.
