The historic Kings Head pub in Poole has officially reopened its doors after a four-week transformation by leading pub company Punch Pubs & Co.

The extensive refurbishment has been brought to life by Punch’s Unity Social business unit, blending the pub’s heritage and character with the brand’s vibrant offering.

At the heart of its relaunch is an experienced family team, Kim, Madi, Brian and Jamie Novell, who couldn’t wait to reopen the new- look pub and create a welcoming, inclusive hub for the whole community.

With a passion for hospitality and community engagement, the family are focused on delivering a warm guest experience, where everyone who walks through the door feels welcome.

Kim shared: “The reopening marks the start of an exciting new chapter for The King’s Head. We are incredibly proud to have reopened this fantastic pub and couldn’t wait to welcome the community back through the doors.

“Our family is passionate about creating a place where people come together, make memories and feel part of something special. We want The King’s Head to be known for its hospitality, atmosphere, entertainment and genuine community spirit.”

To capture Unity Social’s spirit, the investment includes refreshed internal décor throughout, upgraded entertainment systems and a light improvement to the external trading areas. Mindful of the pub’s heritage, the transformation has been delivered with respect, and original features have been retained or enhanced to ensure The King’s Head remains authentically Poole while offering guests a significantly improved experience.

Rachael Henry, Senior Operations Manager for Unity Social, said: “The King’s Head is a fantastic addition to Unity Social and perfectly reflects what our brand stands for. This investment has created a pub that offers great entertainment, live sport and a true sense of community.

“Kim, Madi, Brian and Jamie share our vision and passion for bringing people together, and we are delighted to see The King’ s Head reopen as a vibrant community hub for Poole.”

The reopening forms part of Unity Social’s ongoing commitment to investing in great British pubs and creating welcoming social spaces where nobody feels alone and everybody belongs.
