Punch have reopened this fantastic community pub, restoring its original name, the Ship Inn. The pub has undergone a £30,000 investment and rebrand to bring this classic market town pub to its former glory.

The Ship Inn, formerly the Bear Bar, has benefited from an external revamp, including new signage and decoration. The addition of new furniture and traditional pub accents internally have given the pub a lift to create a cosy, warm and welcoming feel.

The pub is currently open and trading with well known, local Publican Peter Penhallurick taking charge. The pub is focussing on bringing the community back to its heart ensuring locals and visitors to the area get an authentic Cornish experience.

Operations Director, Lucy Barker says, “The Ship Inn is a traditional pub, and has always been known as ‘the Ship’ to its regulars. We are confident that taking the Ship Inn back to its roots operating as a fantastic local, serving great food and drink to create an epic pub for the local community in Wadebridge.”

The pub reopened with a new food menu that delivers real pub favourites including homemade pies, lasagnes and everyone’s favourite fish and chips. The bar features a brand new selection of quality cask ales and draught lagers.
