The Waggon and Horses reopens following revamp

The Waggon and Horses pub, located at the heart of St Neots, has reopened following Punch’s investment with new Publican Dale Reeves taking the helm.

The pub has undergone decoration works to enhance its traditional feel. This has included brand new flooring and a completely transformed bar. With a new top and display, it’s now kitted out with brand new fonts and an ‘ale wall’ that boasts up to seven real ales. The pubs facilities have also benefitted from the investment and the garden area has been upgraded, making it the perfect space to safely enjoy with family.

Together with his partner Samantha Williamson and one year old son Artemis, Dale reopened the pub over the weekend and is excited for the future. He is a pub fanatic, working in pubs for many years, but this is his first venture running his own pub business. He says, “I am so excited to be reopening this amazing, new and improved pub. I was drawn to the Waggon and Horses because of the friendly atmosphere, and the local people who visit. I love the area and myself and the family are so excited to safely welcome customers old and new through the doors to enjoy a cold drink and tasty meal”.

Punch’s operation director Ed Passey says, “The Waggon and Horses is a fantastic pub and we are thrilled to be working with Dale and his family who are passionate about the pub. We have been delighted to see lots of local footfall following the opening weekend and hope everyone fully engages with Eat Out to Help Out scheme throughout August. It’s a fantastic start and I’m sure with Dale and Samantha at the helm, the Waggon and Horses will become an epic pub for all the family to enjoy and we look forward to supporting them both as they build a pub business that will continue to operate at the heart of the community for many years to come.”

The Waggon and Horses has reopened with a brand new food menu that is full of everyone’s favourite pub classics and a delicious new carvery offer. As well as this they serve a vast range of drinks, with a stunning draught cider cabinet on display. Dale has exciting plans to introduce a breakfast offer soon, including takeout drinks to get guests through the working day and also plans to further enhance the garden area and add an outdoor children’s play area, making this the perfect place for all the family to enjoy.
