Overview

Are you ready to take the helm of a pub steeped in history and local folklore? The Castle Inn is a unique opportunity to transform a beloved community venue into a go-to destination for exceptional food and hospitality.

Pub & Location

Dating back to 1820, the Castle Inn was born from two humble cottages on the grounds of Puddle Bank Farm. Today, it stands as a charming, character-filled venue in the picturesque town of Congleton, Cheshire. With exposed beams, a cosy interior, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, this pub is rich in heritage and ready for its next chapter.

The Castle Inn offers two distinct trading areas: a dog-friendly bar lounge with darts, a roaring fire, and space for casual drinks and snacks and a dedicated restaurant seating 50–60 covers, perfect for delivering a premium dining experience. There is outdoor seating for sunny days and community events with a loyal local following but there is a great potential to attract new guests seeking quality food and memorable experiences.

Our Vision

We’re looking to position the Castle Inn as a destination food pub. A place where guests come not just for a drink, but for outstanding dining in a historic setting. This is your chance to create a menu that excites, elevates, and keeps people coming back.

Ideal Operator

We’re seeking an experienced food-led operator who:

  • Has a proven track record in delivering high-quality food and is passionate about cooking to a high standard.
  • Is a natural host who thrives on creating exceptional guest experiences.
  • Knows how to market effectively online to attract new customers and build a strong reputation.
