Leading pub company Punch Pubs & Co has added to its growing portfolio with the acquisition of The King’s Head in Oswestry, Shropshire.
The community pub sits in the heart of the town and will join Punch’s Unity Social business unit following a major investment later this year.
Speaking about the acquisition, Punch Pubs & Co Head of Acquisitions, Andrew Cannons, commented: “We’re thrilled to welcome another high-quality pub into our Punch family. This is a fantastic pub with strong local roots and a wealth of opportunities. I do not doubt that with Punch’s industry-leading support and training, The Kings Head will continue to thrive for many years to come.”
Located in the popular Church Street, the Kings Head has long been a popular destination for locals, shoppers, visitors, families and dog owners and following Punch’s investment later this year, is set to become the go-to place for live sport, entertainment and a welcoming atmosphere for all.
Punch Pubs Operations Manager Rachael Henry added: “This a brilliant pub that we will be relaunching in October. I’m thrilled to be working on this pub and look forward to welcoming our new Management Partner, when they come aboard.”
Punch is continually on the lookout for additional high-quality acquisitions, including packages and single-site opportunities that align with its modern, progressive vision and growth plans.
