The Wheatsheaf pub in Corston is celebrating four successful months of trading following its £80,000 refurbishment last November.

Just before Christmas, the historic pub reopened with a light refresh and a new Publican at the helm, Harriet Furlong.

The minor investment has also breathed new life into the much-loved local, creating 10 new jobs and transforming the site into a warm, welcoming gastropub with a strong foodie focus. Since reopening, Harriet has enjoyed welcoming back the community, and guests both old and new, with its food-led events, like their monthly Supper Club, regularly selling out as it continues to build a reputation for quality, community and great hospitality.

Its refreshed offer builds on its gastropub reputation while introducing a modern, relaxed dining experience that appeals to both locals and visitors from across Bath and the surrounding areas.

Team Wheatsheaf also has plans to introduce live music events at the pub, as it continues to grow its presence within the community and has already added a popular quiz night to its events calendar.

Harriet shared: “The investment in The Wheatsheaf last year has turned a much-loved pub into somewhere people are returning to after many years – truly bringing people together. It is a historic favourite that has been waiting for the right operators to bring it back to life, and we’re thrilled to see the community embracing it once again.”

More information about the pub, including upcoming Supper Clubs and their seasonal menus, can be found on the pub’s website and social media pages.
