The New Chimneys pub located at the heart of Godinton Park in Ashford, Kent has reopened its doors to guests following a transformational £400k investment by independent pub operators Punch Pubs & Co.

This historic pub has been a community hub for locals of Ashford for many years. The investment has enhanced the pubs traditional look and feel, complementing its existing cosy low ceilings, exposed beams and roaring fires.

This iconic pub set across two floors has benefited from a full internal revamp, creating a contemporary and rustic feel. It now features beautiful, upholstered seating made from reclaimed fabrics, stunning feature mood lighting, and eclectic pub accents.

Outside, the pub has maintained its rich lawn, decked with a plethora of seating, making it the ideal spot for guests to come together, put the world to rights and watch the sun go down over the town.

The pub has reopened with a brand new, delicious food menu, comprising of everyone’s pub favourites with a twist. From a BBQ beef brisket burger to plant-based ‘meat’ balls there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the New Chimneys.

The New Chimneys is the place to be on a Sunday, with a wholesome Sunday roast served with all the trimmings and crispy roasties, creating the perfect backdrop to those all-important family get togethers.

The New Chimneys has reopened with experienced Management Partner Dean Pryce at the helm. Dean says, “I am so proud to be opening the New Chimneys and to reveal it’s new look to the community. This huge investment has truly restored it to its former glory, it’s never looked better!”

“This is such a special pub, and we can cater for all occasions. It’s really close to locals hearts and we’re thrilled to be welcoming them back to reconnect, make more memories and enjoy their new pub.”

Dean is looking forward to putting his stamp on the New Chimneys. He has exciting plans to reintroduce sport to the pub with 10 HD screens positioned to compliment the layout and allow plenty of space for those who want a quieter drink or to taste our exciting menu.

Punch’s Operations Director Robin Belither says, “We’re thrilled to see the New Chimneys reopen and unveil its new look.

“This is a fantastic pub, and our investment has truly breathed a new lease of life into such a grand characterful building. We’re really pleased with what we’ve created here, and we’re confident with Dean at the helm, together we will create a better pub for the area for years to come.”
