Could you run this Plymouth pub?
Step into the role of pub operator at the historic Devon & Cornwall Inn in the picturesque village of Millbrook. This 17th-century inn boasts traditional features such as stone floors and an open fire, making it a beloved community centrepiece. But we’re not just looking for someone to maintain the status quo – we want an innovative and dynamic operator and entrepreneur to take the pub to the next level.
We have an investment planned outside with festoon lighting, heating and new garden fixtures and fittings. We’ll connect the side passage to the garden and upgrade the furniture and fixtures for maximum curb appeal. And speaking of curb appeal, we’ll open up the fenced area to tantalise potential guests.
If you’re up for the challenge, you’ll have access to a large open-plan trading area for over thirty guests and a rear garden that can seat forty. You’ll also maximise the potential of five lovely en suite letting rooms. They’re perfect for weddings and visitors to the area.
Ideal operator
We’re not just looking for hospitality experience. We want someone tech-savvy, managing the online booking systems and bringing the pub to life on social media. You’ll be passionate about live music, events, and sports. You’ll also excel running letting rooms and have high service standards and a keen eye for detail.
Private accommodation
There’s a bedroom, a private kitchen, and a lounge.
