Overview

Are you looking for a popular and traditional wet-led pub to run? Look no further than the Duffryn Arms.

The pub and location

The Duffryn Arms is a wet-led, family and dog-friendly community pub offering a broad selection of drinks. The pub sits on Duffryn Drive, on the outskirts of Newport, South Wales. This business has fantastic growth potential, building on an existing community hub.

Guests love it for its fantastic sports offer, regular entertainment, and separate lounge/function area. There is also an incredible opportunity to continue to engage with local sports teams and clubs to increase footfall.

The pub benefits from a lot of passing trade to nearby Tredegar House, so there is a real opportunity to provide an offer which appeals to this audience and established customers from the local area. There is a large car park available on site with a capacity of 30 spaces.

Inside, the Duffryn has a spacious, open-plan bar area with a separate lounge/function room area. The bar has a pool table, darts area and TVs for viewing Sky TV/TNT Sport, making it the perfect place to enjoy a day of sport with friends or an evening of singing/dancing the night away with the regular entertainment.

The spacious lounge/function room is a self-sufficient area. As the community’s local pub, this is the ideal facility for all the local parties, meetings, and private get-togethers.

The pub also benefits from a small beer garden at the front of the pub that works well in the Spring and Summer months.

You’ll find the Duffryn on Duffryn Drive, Newport, South Wales. Newport covers an area of just over 73.5 square miles and stands at the gateway between England and Wales, twelve miles from Cardiff. Newport is a vibrant, multi-cultural city steeped in a rich industrial heritage. In the last ten years, the population has increased by 13,900 people, with a population of just under this figure.

160,000 Tourist attractions nearby include Tredegar House – one of the architectural wonders of Wales and one of the most significant late 17th-century houses in the British Isles. This delightful red brick house provides an ideal setting for a fantastic day out. Tredegar Mini Golf Park and Caravan Park are all really popular with families.

Ideal operator

We’re looking for a community-focused Publican experienced in beer management. You’ll be passionate about the local area and people forming long-lasting relationships. You’ll drive community engagement to ensure the pub stays a well-loved hub. You’ll also lead your team from the front, involving and inspiring them with fantastic training plans and reviews. Marketing your business will be essential, so a good understanding of digital platforms will be required.
